​Jackie and Gary met in 2006 at Humber College during their Film & Television Production Program. Although they didn’t work together or interact socially during college, they both shared a passion in making a difference. Unbeknownst to them, their common interest would inspire a journey of leadership, education, and teamwork. The pair remained in contact after college occasionally connecting to discuss personal and professional endeavours. 

​When the pair began working on side projects together, they realized their complimentary skills and attributes, which became the foundational building blocks for Zen’s Outdoor Leadership Camp for Youth.

Since 2011, the duo won a national online television trailer competition, produced a one-hour documentary, and co-founded Zen's Outdoor Leadership Camp for Youth (ZOLCY).  Since its inception, they have organized and facilitated over a dozen international trips to Jamaica and Nepal, bringing together over 100 Jamaican campers and 35 volunteer from around the globe. Jackie and Gary understand the complexities of their work and continually strive to better themselves, each other, and the ZOLCY program.

Jackie and Gary continue to develop the ZOLCY program by challenging participants, partners, and each other, to learn and grow through the experiential process. The pair are excited about ZOLCY’s future and look forward to the many wonderful moments ahead.
